The MSM has been touting the poor economy since "W" took office. (I never hear them discuss the impact of 9/11 on the economy.) "The recession is coming, the recession is coming," they cried, in spite of the statistics that said otherwise. And now, “The US economy grew at an annual pace of 0.6% in the first three months of 2008, slightly faster than expected,” deeply disappointing the leftists that control the media. In addition, the Conference Board announced that U.S. leading index increased 0.1 percent, the coincident index increased 0.1 percent, and the lagging index increased 0.3 percent in March.
Today the Fed cut the fed funds rate by another 25 basis points. In addition, their comments indicate they see a light at the end of the tunnel, which is the recession we haven’t had yet. We may be in for a rebound at this point.
So what is my real point? The quick answer is, “I’m sick of these pundits in the MSM that continually demean America." If these so-called objective news reporters cannot be objective, they should quit, and give their jobs to some high school students who are willing to tell the truth. Wouldn’t that be a refreshing change?

nice post WM
amen!..the msm is a joke and all truth tellers know it!:)
The response to the positive productivity number is to completely ignore numbers and the technical definition for recession and instead use polls showing that a majority of those polled THINK we are in a recession.
It's no longer a matter of data and analysis, it's an opinion.
Typical Dem/lib tactic: When things aren't working to your satisfaction, change the rules of the game.
James Shott makes a solid point.
Want to change public perception on
Global Warming. Ignore scientific data; just take a poll. Ask a few hundred people if they THINK the planet is dangerously warming up.
Then provide Al Gore w/sufficient funds to fix it! reb
